After making her debut for the WNCL, Hollie Armitage returned to club cricket and dominated with the bat. Opening the batting, Armitage stayed at the crease while wickets continued to steadily fall around her. Armitage top scored for South Hobart Sandy Bay, falling just shy of a century, with 96 runs. Kingborough’s Sasha Moloney claimed an impressive 4/17, while Bonnie Davies collected 2/10 and Samantha Bates collected 1/23 from eight overs, to have SHSB all out for 138. The total was no issue for University, with 64 runs coming from Sasha Moloney and 56 runs coming from Kate Fryett, the total was chased down in the 16th over.
In the match between Clarence and Greater Norther, Courtney Webb was the top scorer for Clarence with 95 runs from 91 deliveries and was well supported by some solid contributions across the board from her team mates. At the end of their 40 overs, the Roos were 5/237. In reply, Emma Manix-Geeves top scored with 40 runs for Greater Northern, closely followed by opening batter, Montana Bradley with 31 runs. The total proved too much for the Raiders, with some economical bowling from Erin Fazackerly, Paris Crowe, Olivia McDonald and Nat Pearce restricting Greater Northern to 8/160 at the close of innings.
