South Hobart Sandy Bay 2018-19 CTPL Season Review

South Hobart Sandy Bay Cricket Club once again had a strong season in 2018-19.


The Men's side had what turned out to be an easy win over Lindisfarne in the Men's Kookaburra Cup Grand Final, with Simon Milenko being awarded the Danny Buckingham Medal for Player of the Final.


Tom Willoughby was awarded the Michael Di Venuto Medal for Under 17 Boys Player of the Year alongside Sam Wright from New Town CC.  In the CTPL Men's Team of the Year Sean Willis was the sole member from SHSB while in the CTPL Women's Team of the Year Corinne Hall and Beth Dodd were both given honours for their efforts throughout the season. 


In the CTPL Club Championship, SHSB placed in sixth position with 250 points while the club finished at the bottom of the table in the Lord's Taverners Spirit of Cricket Award, claiming tenth spot with an average of 5.91 points.
