Clarence’s Katie Cole and North Hobart’s Belinda Page are both set to reach significant milestones this weekend in Round 4 of the Women’s Premier League competition when they become the first women in CTPL history to notch up 100 competition matches.
Katie Cole made her Premier Cricket debut back in the 2009/10 season for University of Tasmania where she played 2 games before moving to Clarence the following season. During her 99-game career, she has amassed 1271 runs at an average of 19.86, including 3 x 50’s, with her highest score recorded against Lindisfarne in the 2012/13 season which was 73. She has also picked up 82 wickets with her best being 4-11 against University in the 2017/18 season.
Katie has also featured in the CTPL Women’s Team of the Year three times over the course of her career, that being in 2012/13, 2013/14 & 2015/16.
Belinda Page also made her Premier Cricket debut back in the 2009/10 for North Hobart. During her 99 games, she has amassed 2169 runs at an average of 40.17, including 12 x 50’s and 3 x 100’s, with her highest score recorded against University of Tasmania in the 2012/13 season which was 111*. She has also picked up 88 wickets with her best being 5-25 against Clarence in the 2011/12 season.
Belinda also has featured in the CTPL Women’s Team of the Year five times over the course of her career, that being in 2010/11, 2011/12 (c), 2012/13 (c), 2013/14, 2015/16 & 2016/17. She also been awarded with the coveted Kim Fazackerley Medal in 2013/14 season.
