James A. Dykes

 

 Andrew Dykes debuted for Clarence in 1988, becoming a regular member of the team the following season and the most dominant batsman in the competition over the next 15 years.


From 271 matches Andrew scored 9,793 runs at an average of 44.11, he twice scored over 1000 runs in a season. In 1996/97 he won the Rodwell Medal (then the TCA Medal) scoring 848 runs for that season.  Andrew was also a useful contributor as a bowler, claiming 238 scalps across his career.


Andrew was also a key member of the club’s premiership teams of 1991 and 1995 and captained Clarence’s back to back premierships in 2003 and 2004.


Andrew Dykes played eighteen First-Class matches for Tasmania
