A senior women’s competition was added to the Grade Cricket competition in 2009-10, with four clubs, Clarence, Glenorchy, North Hobart and University participating.
Consisting of six rounds plus finals, the competition was played under the Twenty20 format of a Friday evening for its inaugural season. With the southern based members of the Tasmanian Roar side participating, the competition proved a positive addition to the Grade Cricket competition.
Clarence finished the roster matches minor premier, and along with North Hobart progressed to the Grand Final. Unfortunately due to rain the Grand Final was abandoned, with Clarence named premiers as a result of finishing in first position on the ladder.
